J. Crew upped the ante (but who still has money left after this last round of sales?!) with its latest sale offering – a solid 40% off already reduced merchandise with code OURTREAT. Free shipping, as always, on orders of $175+.
I picked up a few items I ordered and subsequently returned because the price wasn’t attractive enough at the 30% off point (I also forgot to use cashback last time around – ebates has 6% cashback; here’s my referral link if you need one)
Sale is final but there is always some wiggle room with J. Crew’s excellent customer service. I was able to return things from my last order that I didn’t love without a problem. I explained my dilemma to them and was granted my request without any opposition. (This is obviously very YMMV so please shop this sale carefully because there is always a chance that they can refuse and you’d be stuck with clothes you don’t love)
Of the four items I ordered in my last order (the Director Dress, the Mona Leather Pumps, the Ella Dress in Pop Art Dot, and the Edie Attache Tote), I only kept the Edie Attache Tote. I did decide to re-order the Director Dress because I sort of regret returning it; it’s a versatile work dress that my friend Alexa recommended to me. I also ordered the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Pop Art Dot because I loved the print on the Ella Dress but didn’t have use for another strapless dress. I think the pencil skirt is a better alternative for me.
There are still lots of items in small sizes left – I’ll link them here for easier access: Ella Dress in Petal Eyelet ($30!), 1035 Jacket in Wool Crepe, Blythe Blouse in Silk, Filigree-Embroidered Strapless Beach Dress (also available in jacket form), Scoopneck Blouse in Colorblock Stripe, Ella Dress in Porcelain Paisley, No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Double-serge Cotton (longer version here), Scoopneck Blouse in Anchors Aweigh (LOVE!), Ella Dress in Rambling Rose, Memo Dress in Super 120’s (Select colors only), Natasha Top, Talitha Blouse (a petite favorite!), Cafe Capri in Wool, Pom-Pom Shell, No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Circle Eyelet, Attache Dress in Linen Canvas, 1035 Jacket in Wool Gabardine, Marielle Dress in Superfine Cotton, Tessa Top, Naomi Top, Schoolboy Blazer in Linen, Anchors Aweigh Pant, Jacquard Dot Pencil Skirt, Dizzy Anchors Dress, Schoolboy Blazer in Eyelet, Perfect Shirt in Medium Gingham, Polka Dot Organza Short and Hilary Dress.
p.s. in-store prices are better but no petite sizes are available in stores and the merchandise is picked over. You can use the Red Phone to order your size online but they started charging shipping ($8.95) more consistently on sale orders so that’s something to take into account.
