I took my J. Crew tillary tote on its inaugural shopping trip the other day and in the excitement of it all forgot to remove a plastic cover on the front zipper. An overzealous shopper must have noticed this detail, assumed that the bag is for sale, and swooped up my bag when I put it down briefly to peruse some clothes. I had to chase after her and explain to her that the bag is mine and not an item pending checkout.
I’ve had this happen to me before and I am sure I am not alone. Do you have a similar story?
