OOTD: Navy + Glen Plaid

This navy blazer is a (relatively) recent find from H&M. It is the jersey version of my favorite H&M blazer and I picked up both the navy and navy striped (read Alterations Needed’s review here) when I had the chance.

I have too many navy blazers in my closet and will be attempting to purge a few that haven’t seen much action in the coming weeks as part of my Spring Cleaning.

Have you started Spring Cleaning?

ASOS top, H&M blazer, J. Crew skirt (also in solid colors) + sash, Ann Taylor belt, See by Chloe bag, and YSL shoes (similar)

And…if you ever find yourself in Middlesex County in Connecticut (probably shopping the Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets or the comparably less exciting Tanger outlet nearby), I would recommend going to the Log Cabin, located in Clinton, CT.

My family places a lot of emphasis on portion size when eating out (although freshness and taste are obvious prerequisites) so we always love stopping by the Log Cabin when we find ourselves in the area. The prices are pretty standard for a touristy area but the portion will last you days.

Buffalo chicken tenders (served with a few celery sticks and blue cheese dressing, neither of which are worth mentioning) were delightful and not too spicy.

Lunch is served Monday through Saturday and the dinner menu is served seven days a week. Portions pictured here are of the dinner portion.

Chicken Gorgonzola…has a pretty potent kick of Marsala wine, if you are into that.

The Chicken Parmigiana isn’t the best I’ve had but wins because of portion size.

And lastly, the pork Osso Bucco…I think it’s the obvious winner here. It is served with melt-on-your-tongue mashed potatoes and mushrooms.
