I am a novice when it comes to donning bold prints and the leopard print in particular is a pattern I only recently grew comfortable wearing. This no. 2 pencil skirt in leopard (here in petite) is the first leopard print clothing item I bought and I am playing it safe by styling it with like colors and neutrals.

J. Crew skirts rarely fit me perfectly off the rack. In my ideal world the waist would be an inch smaller and the length an inch shorter but with a belt the skirt is passable. At $118, the 100% cotton skirt is quite overpriced but I haven’t found a pattern I liked as much as J. Crew’s version so this is a keeper for me.
I see myself wearing it with a sweater tucked in for early spring or pairing it with a sequin top for a more glam evening look. I’ll be experimenting with a few more ideas in the next few weeks.
Here are a few more options to consider:

Leopard print accessories are generally welcomed by most but are leopard print clothing items too much? What are your thoughts?
