I took advantage of Ann Taylor’s numerous holiday sales and really went to town. Here’s a snapshot of the small mountain of goodies that came in the mail just in the last week.
Chili Pepper Jewel Neck Jacket – 00 – $198
Notes: This adorable jacket is not available in petite but I just had to try it on to put out the flame. The color is “Chili Pepper” – a lovely red color with orange undertones. The sleeves are, as expected, too long and the torso and sleeves are both too baggy. The concept is interesting, just not for women with shorter limbs.
Status: will be returning.
Petite Cascade Lapel Sleeveless Top – 00P – was $68, now $59.99 (regular here)
Notes: I bought this top in both Barberry (purple) and Juniper (seen below) because I don’t have very many tops in my closet in these gorgeous fall colors. The neckline is a little too low for my own comfort but I can’t get enough of this color.
Status: keeping Juniper (undecided about Barberry), will use fashion tape to keep the neckline in check.
Stretch Cotton Jewel Neck Cardigan – XXS – was $68, now $49.99 (matching Stretch Jewel Neck Shell here)
Notes: The XXS in regular fits ok, at first I thought it was too tight but in looking at the stock photos I think it’s meant to be a closer fit. I got this in three different colors because many of my cardigans are in more pastel shades.
Status: Keeping to ponder further.
More reviews from my Ann Taylor purchases to come later this week.
