The other day when I was doing my seasonal closet purge I found this LaRok dress that I haven’t worn in several months. It’s my favorite little black dress and makes me feel like a million bucks. I ended up wearing it out that day with a Zara blouse (last seen here)…I feel so ready for next month’s Petite Fashion Challenge (hosted by the fabulous Khatu).
Have you signed up?

Last month, when the Versace for H&M collection first came out, I deliberately abstained from getting caught up in the frenzy (partly because I dislike the message that Donatella Versace is sending out about body image and conformity). Plus, the only thing I wanted was a little bracelet that was one of the more popular items in the collection. But just as I was starting to forget about this collection (much like what I did with the Lanvin x H&M collection), last weekend while shopping in Soho, I found a small section (probably all returns) of Versace for H&M and the bracelet that I had wanted was also among the stash of items that remained.
Lucky score, right? Except the item was missing its original price tag so when I checked out the SA priced it out using her memory (which wasn’t very professional). It was only after I got home and googled the item did I realize that she overcharged me by $5. (Sigh) It’s not the end of the world but the mistake did dampen my mood.
