***You can win a special Valentine’s Day kit featuring these adorable cookies Nestle Toll House cookies through A Mom’s Balancing Act***
I loved Valentine’s Day as a child because everyone gets chocolate and “friend” carnations…somehow this lovely holiday which to me is about free chocolate and flowers has deteriorated into a rather complicated holiday for many. Like, what exactly to give bf. At first I thought about getting him Chocri, as recommended by April. Then I thought about making homemade chocolate bark a la Martha Stewart. Alas I finally settled these NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Valentine Friends Sugar Cookies which cost merely $3.49.
The concept is cute though the cashier girl and bag boy had a good laugh when I was checking out. They remarked that holiday cookies are becoming increasingly more like stamps.
Anyway, look at the cute packaging!
The actual cookies were a little disappointing – the colors are rather faded. I had to tweak with contrast in photoshop to make it more obvious.
The cookies are pre-cut but you do have to remove the hearts yourself.
Being the frugal person that I am, I rolled up the rest of the dough and mold it into the shape of a heart.
And the end results.
I am always looking for gifting ideas for V-Day, so please share if you have found success!
