My ongoing browsing ban has forced me to retreat further into my cluttered closet but the good news is that I actually found a few more cocktail dresses that have been largely ignored after their first wear; so in my continuing effort to document my cocktail dress collection, they will end up on this blog sooner or later.
I got this Marciano corset dress at an outlet for about half off retail (~$100 after tax) not too long ago. I wore it briefly for a few hours and then into a garment bag it goes.
Marciano corset dresses are a pretty affordable alternative to their Dolce & Gabbana counterparts but the smaller sizes are often gone by the time the dresses make it to the sale section. This style must have been a bestseller because Marciano keeps releasing variations of the same dress season after season without too many drastic changes to the original design.
The size 0 (unfortunately the smallest size for Marciano) fits me rather decently which means that anyone smaller than me is sized out by this brand. Aney, a Canadian blogger, wears another version of this corset dress really well.
A tad long for me, I think if I can get more ideas for how to wear it for everyday I would get it hemmed two inches. The dress is corset back so it can accommodate a range of waist and bust sizes.
About 30 inches from bust to hem.
Sigh, I am not supposed to be browsing or anything but I love this Carmella Corset Dress (on sale for $85 from $188) that looks like a D&G dress from Spring 2009 that was a hit among actresses.

And today’s food porn is one of my old favorites : Panera Bread Cinnamon Raisin Bread.
A whole loaf will last me anywhere between 1-2 days because they are irresistible. I have made french toast using slightly stale PBCRB and they’ve turned out well. Panera Bread always have little idea cards with various uses for their bread stacked neatly on the table and the one I saw today was Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding (I am not into soggy bread so didn’t pick one up) but definitely stop by your local Panera Bread if you are interested.
Shhhh, don’t tell Delta but I took a few of these portable Nutella packets with me the last time I was at the Sky Club Lounge (I was planning to eat them with pretzels on the plane but I was too passed out on the flight) and they go so well with cinnamon raisin bread.
