Happy Friday + VS Dresses, BB Dakota Dress, & Amazon Warehouse Shoe Reviews

Sorry to bunch them all together but I think it would be unnecessary to do a post for each since I don’t have too many things here to share. 🙂

I’ll start with the BB Dakota dress that I was initially really excited about. The other dress and the lace skirt have yet to arrive. Available here and here in red or on PLNDR in aqua.

Looks really cute on the model. On me, not so much. The armholes are way too big, which wasn’t obvious when worn by the model since her hair strategically covers it. I also think this dress would look better on someone who is smaller on top.

I am taking this dress to the tailor to see if something can be done to make it better. I’ll have to get rid of the wrinkles, which are unavoidable when a dress is folded and then shipped in plastic bags.

Next up are the Victoria’s Secret dresses that I ordered and wrote about in this post.

I want to defend this first dress (I have a red one in XS from about two years ago), it may not photograph well but it is really comfortable. Available here.

I ordered the pink in XXS and the fern green in XS.

Look at the difference in length! I am sorry the pictures are taken from different angles but this is what happens when one doesn’t have a personal photographer (I am still looking for a good tripod that is priced reasonably and suits my needs). I prefer the XS since the XXS is too tight around the bust.

The second dress is this halter dress in black. I ordered a size 0.

Looks great on the model. On me, with some work and more color maybe it’ll one day be a versatile dress.

Doesn’t photograph very well and I hope the zipper can be a bit less flimsy. Not bad for the price but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have an occasion that is quickly coming up and need a cheap black dress with some flair.

Lastly, the shoes. I ordered a bunch and was only going to keep the silver Cindy Says flats but ended up keeping three pairs. There are some very light imperfections on some of them and some sizing was off so that’s why I ended up with three.

These Charles by Charles David Pompadour Pumps in Pewter are striking in person. I ordered the 6.5 but needed a 7 since the 6.5 is a snug fit. I kept it for occasions that won’t require a lot of movement. Charles David tends to run about half a size smaller (more specifically, less than a half a sizer smaller but definitely smaller than usual), I have experienced this with my other Charles David pumps but this color and size combination was on Amazon Warehouse for about a 1/3 of what it is selling for elsewhere. Available here, here, and here in more sizes and colors.

The next pair was those Franco Sarto Napoli Pumps I raved about in the other post. The gold was available in 6.5 for really cheap, I can’t remember the exact amount but less than $20. The 7 fit me perfectly if not a little bit loose so I knew the 6.5 might be too snug. Available here in gold, here, and here in more sizes and colors.

Turns out they are snug but not too much so. I am keeping them because I don’t have any white gold colored pumps.

The last pair was my favorite of the group. The reviews were not stellar for these bowed flats but I took a chance because I wore my last pair of silver flats to pieces. I ordered these in a 7. Available here in black.

Really comfortable. They do not dig into my feet at all like a lot of flats do because of my feet shape.

That’s all. Have a great weekend everyone!
