Necessary Objects can be found in a variety of stores, from Nordstrom’s to Macy’s and this particular dress was found half-priced and at all sizes in a TJMaxx about a year ago. It looks just like the LaRok dress that I had my eyes on but about 1/5 as expensive. I didn’t foresee myself wearing it very often so I opted for the cheaper option.
I think I’ve worn this dress a grand total of twice, which isn’t too bad for me as there are still lots of clothes with uncut tags hanging in my closet. In any case, I hadn’t realized how wrinkly the skirt part had gotten as the black usually masked the wrinkles (at least as far as I could tell). In pictures they were really obvious so I am glad I photographed it…yikes, wrinkles can really destroy a dress.
Necessary Objects is a juniors brand so the sizes are more consistent with the likes of Aqua (a dress worn here), BB Dakota (sample sale posted here), and other similar brands targeting mid- to late-teens.
