Cocktail Dress Hour : Dolce & Gabbana Dresses

For someone who is a size 0 or 00 in brands with vanity sizing, I was wearing a size 38 and sometimes 40 (form-fitting) in Dolce & Gabbana dresses.

D&G dresses are gorgeous in that they are so well made and accentuate (sometimes non-existent) curves.

These are some of my favorites:

D&G Bustier Dress in Petroleum
I wear a 40  in this style

I am “boy-shaped” (gosh I hate that term) in that my waist to hip ratio is close to 0, especially from the front. I believe a 0.7 WHR is considered desirable as classic beauties like Marilyn Monroe had those proportions. In any case, I digress. My point is: This dress makes me look curvy, with a defined waist and hip. It’s incredible. Not to mention the color looks great on my Asian olive skin tone.

Still available on Bluefly!

My only problem with this dress is that I would have fit in a size 38 (however snugly) if the bust were bigger. I think this would be perfect for someone with a smaller bust (bandwidth, not necessarily cup size).

Next up is also a bustier-styled dress.

This dress is also very versatile for day-time activities. It has slightly more stretch than the previous dress. It has been reviewed positively by other bloggers in the past.

Has anyone had similar experiences with D&G? I would love some input as I am not sure if I hit my personal jackpot with D&G or if D&G is flattering on everyone.
